Left is one of the WC-130J aircraft in a hurricane damaged hanger.  It appears that the aircraft is undamaged, but there was reportedly 1-6 feet of water over the whole base during Katrina's storm surge.

Our "Date That Will Live in Infamy"

A special tribute to fellow weathermen, Aerographer's Mate 1st Class Edward T Earhart, of Salt Lick, KY, and
Aerographer's Mate 2nd Class Matthew M Flocco, of Newark, DE, who lost their lives at the Pentagon on 11 SEP 2001

This page is dedicated in memory of a good friend and my 1st student as an Instructor Dropsonde Operator, Sgt Detlef W. Ringler,
who was killed in action on the only WC-130 ever lost. May he and the rest of the crew of Swan 38 rest in peace

A penny for my son Jon's help with this page (his work on the right), and $50K for my daughter Anisa's help for her education at the State University of New York at Stony Brook where she was once elected the Webmaster for the Philippine United Students Organization.
